The Electron Microscopy Unit offers our users the expertise to perform ultraestructural studies of their biological samples of interest.
For doing so the facility is equipped with:
- Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) JEOL JEM-1011
- Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) JEOL JSM-6390LV
- Ultramicrotom Leica UC6-FC6
- Emitech K850-225 Critical point dryer
- Emitech K550X-240 Sputter coater
We provide assistance in order to get ready the sample including the embedding and both cryo & ultramicrotomy of cells and tissues.
In addition, we offer the support for acquisition and later imaging analysis.
After receiving a proper training, users can run microscopes by their own, only along the workday.
