The UAB Chromosome Fragility Service provides a platform highly specialized in chromosome fragility syndromes and Fanconi anemia. The final users are hospitals of the national health system or national or international genetic diagnostic laboratories.

The Service stuff and its equipment are specialized in the cytogenetic analysis of chromosome fragility, studies on cell cycle abnormalities by flow cytometry or protein modifications by western blot.
